Rural Champion

Brittney Holum

Brittney Holum is an Independence native, and after leaving to explore the country made the Return to Rural in 2018.

Brittney earned her B.S. in Recreation & Sports Management in from Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kansas.

Brittney wears many hats in addition to serving as the Rural Champion. She owns Arrow Advisors LLC, a small business consulting company that provides marketing/branding and back-office consulting services.

Champions Champions

Serving as Champions Champions are Joslyn Kusiak, Lacey Lies and Tabatha Snodgrass - the ladies who are responsible for applying for the Rural Champions Grant. These ladies act as advisory board for the projects and initiatives supported by the Rural Connection grant.

Community Foundation for Independence

CFFI serves as the administrate custodian of the Rural Connection Grant, and supports over 30 area organizations.
